police/cop wheels pics please
« on: March 22, 2012 - 11:45:21 AM »

I'm a long way from done, but I am loving the look of these.    thinking about getting a set for the cuda so I can have them ready for color matched.

Are they all 15x7 ?  buy used originals or aftermarket?  price range used?

pics and input appreciated !!

Always liked the look of steels and caps.  These are 15x8 Wheel Vintiques.

Hi all,

Please Help,  let me know if all mopar brand police rims will fit on cuda's/e-body or are they unique to the body type.

looking at a 15x7 set and also a 15x8 set.     4.5 x 5 bolt holes aside, do I need to measure back space?     thx!!

I have a set of four 15x7 cop wheels with covers that would be good for a driver.  I was going to put them on a 1973 Barracuda.  I'm in California just north of Los Angeles, so I'm not sure what shipping would be.  Send me a PM if you are interested.

thanks,
David

The stockers were pretty much all 15"x7" with a 4.25" backspace, all should be the 5 on 4.5" pattern so they should all fit. There may be some 15x8's running around, but I think those were a slightly different style (later trucks).

I've bought a few original sets, and I'll say this- Summit sells reproduction police rims  by wheel vintiques for around $100. They don't need to be cleaned and repainted, they should be straight and balanced, and you can get them in anything from 15x7 all the way up to 15x10 in a few different backspacings. After considering what I paid for the originals, then figuring on the time needed to clean up and paint them, its not much more (if any) to just buy new ones. And, you won't have to worry about them not being true, as I've found a couple originals that appeared straight but ended up being less than so.
