Don't own a 70. But a 71 is the same size. Get some rope or bungie cords and put it in the trunk. Undue the spare tire to get it out of the way and let the package go as far into the trunck as it can. Then tie it and the trunk lid down. No sence risking messing up the insides for anything from Ikea. My self I would never take the car to pick up something like that. Not even with my trailer. I would take a truck.

Or borrow some one elses car.  :misbehaving:

Haha can't order it and have it delivered. Need it today.

Ikea is an hour & a half away, so the chances of someone helping me out is slim. If my work ute didn't die on me a month or so back, I'd use that. The replacement vehicle isn't good enough.

I've done some measurements, and it should fit on the rear shelf (Drivers side), and with the seat forward, rest on top of the passenger door against the side mirror.

I'm heading there now. Will take some pics of the journey for a laugh :)

Easy peasy!

Looked troubling but thankfully each piece of the bed was in its own box. Had the simply put everything in the one box, it would have been much harder.

Excuse the pics. I've seen some great iPhone pics, unfortunately I've never managed to take one.

Time to fit all that in the back seat!

Plenty of room for a driver!

Ticket machine's on the wrong side of the car!

I once had 10 people in a newer 4 door charger on the way home from the bar. 2 in front passenger seat, 4 girls on top of each other and 2 guys in the back seat and my drunk ass buddy in the trunk! I'm sure you can figure it out

I would just Duct Tape the Parcels to your car roof, and then drive home.

If you were to take your Challenger to IKEA, and had to pick up a parcel that was 78cm x 193cm (31 inch x 76 inch) + 4inches deep - how would you fit it in your Challenger?

1970 Challenger. Auto. Console. 1 driver. No passengers. No trailer.

Go!

The only way I can get it to work is if I sit one end on the dash, and the other on the rear parcel shelf, however any position I put the passenger seat (all the way back or all the way forward), it gets in the way.

What say you Challenger faithful?

Too late now, but 4-bolts would remove the entire passenger seat.
