I cant believe what cooll, rides you guys got for high school....man I was lucky to catch a ride in something as nice as them cars let alone own one... I was a happy camper just hitchiking...I used to have to use the thumb every where I went.... :thumbs:

No pics, but the cars in my circle of friends my senior year (1971):
66 mustang 289 auto, 69 Mustang 428 sjc 4spd, 69 gto 400? tripower 4spd, 68or69 AMX 390 4spd, 70 camaro rs, 70 AAR cuda 4spd with tubs (could yank the front tires), another 70 AAR cuda auto (owned by a girl I chased for years and never did connect :dontknow:.

These were just fun used cars back then.

My cousin bought the 69 428 SJC new off the showroom floor, saleman would not even get in it to go for the test ride with us. Handed the keys to two kids 17 and 15 and let us go. Came back and paid cash, somewhere around $3500 if I remember. We trashed that car living on gravel roads.

I bought this when I was 15.  I drove it to school a couple of times before I had my license - 1978.
