Not a mopar but Back on the Road
« on: April 05, 2012 - 11:53:00 AM »
Got all my points back on my license.  2 years it takes to get your points back in Colorado.
So, since I got my points back and I can start widdeling them down again I got my T/A out of storage.
Three years ago, Thanksgiving Night, I busted my rear bumper fascia by hitting something on the road.
Since I was out of points a few days before that, I decided not to fix it immediately and just put it up in storage.
Now, I have my points back and I am out speeding around again.
Got it fixed, washed it, and now I am driving it again.
I have some video but can't figure out how to post it.

Those were wicked cars , but not overly reliable , a friend had to swap out beat valve spring very early & had  constant problem with 2nd gear . I hope your is better .

It's a 1998.  Hence the single exhaust.  The only year for the single exhaust.

I purchased this new in 98.  I've driven every mile of 47800 miles.

She got her for hand wash last weekend.

It has been a very reliable car so far for me.   I drive the crap out of this thing.

If I take it out, it hits 100+ every time.  I love corners.  And I live next to one of the best canyons to drive 100+.  Big Horn Sheep Canyon.

I remember when those first came out.  I always thought those were bad ass.

No wonder you have so many points on your license :)

Always did love those cars, even if the interior was a little  :eek4:

Looks sharp - not bad at all for a 13-year old BLACK car.  :)

Here is the burnout video.  Not the best, but fun.
There is another one on my photobucket.

Very cool!  Always had a soft spot for Trans Ams.  I like the  2nd gen but the can't deny liking the performance of the 3rd gen cars.  Love the Ram Air scooped hoods.  :grinyes:

Love the 4th gen birds! I just sold my pristine 95 triple white, 6-speed vert to get my cuda. I owned the car for 10 years without any major issues, great cars. My wife thinks ii made a big mistake by getting rid of it. Aw well!
