DY3 Barracuda or Challenger pictures?
« on: December 17, 2005 - 07:49:11 AM »
Does anyone have pictures of DY3 painted cars?  I've looked all over the Internet to find some and have come up empty.  Seems like most of these cars got restored in a high impact color.

Our car is coded DY3, but was already painted a burgandy color when we got it.  When we tore out the carpet, you could see the DY3 underneath.  These aren't the greatest pictures to show the color.  It's a very dull white that leans just a little bit toward yellow.  It's not a beautiful color by any means, but it is pretty rare.

Was that dollar sign written in grease pencil from the factory?
Pretty cool, if so.

Thanks for the pictures guys.  I talked to the guy with the survivor T/A at the Mopars on the Mississippi show this summer.  Nice car and nice guy too.  I was really hoping to see some Barracuda pictures too.

My '70 'Cuda was originally a Y-3 hockey stick delete car. It was repainted blue, and now I'm in the process of restoration and don't know if I want to go back to original...I don't know where they came up with "yellow gold"...sure looks like tan to me. I'm sure this color is pretty rare ... does anyone know how many were made in this color?

Are you saying that you're going to change from DY3?
