Windshield revel removal tool from year one

I need to remove the front and rear windshield revel moulding from my 71 E body.  I ordered the removal tool from Year One, as the car parts store around looked at me with glazed over eyes when I asked if they had one 

Anyway, how does this tool work? 

Its flat, almost like a gasket scaper, with two small hooks at each corner top

Doc, you slide it along and under the trim.  When you feel a trim clip, you rotate the tool away from the glass, kind of like popping a cork.  It takes a little finessing some times as the trim may be stuck to the glass with weather stripping.  Go slow and pry gently, it also helps to have a razor blade or sharp knife to cut the caulking/weather stripping.

Be careful when doing this. It's too easy to over-rotate the tool and force the clip into the edge of the glass and they crack very easily. You should feel the spring resistance when using the tool and if you don't- stop! I've seen guys catch the edge of the glass and thinking it's the clip, lever themselves into a new windshield. It's not a tough job, just take your time and be careful. Good luck
