I am heading down to J.B. Automotive to pick up a set of VisionX model 569 VX-7RD headlights.
I did some checking and talking to tech and these are glass fronts with a cast back so they can handle some heat if you wanted to through in a 80/100 bulb.
Also would work nice with an HID kit.
Just passing on the info.

Bought a set.
They are a little bigger than the stock light.
But they do fit and stay with the stock locking ring with those 3 screws.
Not sure if they are brighter than my sealed beam halogens or a better focus yet.
Will check maybe tonight and let you know.
I am on the hunt for some 80/100 bulbs for them
Thanks

I didn't think those were street legal.   :dunno:  I like the look of them though.

I am sure they have DOT on the side of the box.
I'll check and take some photos of them on the car after I align them.
Maybe tonight.

Not a lot of technical information given on the website. In the picture it does appear that they have the DOT information on the lens which at least gives the illusion they are street legal. I don't see that stated explicitly anywhere though. They also appear to have aiming pads on the, which again, is something you do on a DOT-legal lamp. The applications listed do not state they are for on road use.  :dunno:

If it were me, I'd be using an ECE spec lamp. Lot's of other options out there on 7" lamps.

As far as the HID goes, just don't do it:

There are several bolt-in 7" headlight upgrades that share the same size as the Jeep Wrangler.

Sorry for the delay.
Here are some pics.
I aimed the lights the other night and I am pleased with the purchase.
