I'm not aware of any machine work, but do the lifter-bores need to be bushed for roller lifters?

I've heard on Hemis, really tall hyd roller lifters required some grinding on the block for the pushrods to clear, but hear the newer lifters are shorter and not req'd.

Hemi's can go with the 454 c.i. dia. journals.
This prevents in many instances, (maybe not all) of having to notch the block to use a roller cam.

There is a Stroker Hemi crank available with the 454 c.i. dia. journals.
I wished I had known that before stroking my Hemi. It would've elimanted notching mine for the pushrods to clear.

It's something to consult with your machinist depending on lift, cam type, and stroke being done.

roller cams can give big performance & still maintain drivability , add EFI & the engine will run like it has never been modified

This is what I am looking for, more drivability than power really. I am also thinking of a FAST EZ EFI type set up to go with it.
