I'd like to get the factory cruise to work on my Challenger, but not sure how to do it.  It seems like the ECM should handle that with the Drive by Wire, but there is no provision for it.  Anyone figure out how to make this work?

Do you think an old school vacuum setup taking readings off the driveshaft would work?

Any thoughts?

Yes but I have a cable driven throttle body on mine so it was easy a drive by wire I'm not sure what you would use.

This is what I used  from http://www.rostra.com/universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php
They may have a drive by wire option I didn't look.

They do have a listing for drive by wire http://www.rostra.com/custom-drive-by-wire-aftermarket-cruise-control-by-rostra.php

A new thought
If your using a cable converter box for your drive by wire signal you can add your cruse pull cable to that same hookup point as the foot feed cable. Everything else would attach just like the 70-74 system.

If your using a new style foot feed with no cable  :faint:

I do have the black box and thought about hooking a cable to the one inside that.  Not sure how it will work, but I'd like to figure it out.  I talked to Chris Squire about using the computer, shouldn't be that tough, I just don't think they have enough call for it to figure it out.

I'll check out the drive by wire option and see if I can make that work.

I hate long drives without cruise anymore.
