under carriage pics

While the tranny is out we need to do some detailing... need pics of drive shaft, torsion bars, front suspension   so we get it right

The suspension pieces would be refinished the same.  Some inspection marks would be unique to certain engine sizes.  The trans mount should be black on a 318 car and not yellow.

The trans was just bare aluminum.(auto)  The only way to bring back a close to original finish is to bead blast the case before you rebuild it.  The tail shaft has a smoother finish that would probably be ruined by bead blasting.  I think soda would work for the tailshaft.(that's just a guess...I've never done it)

You can always just paint the trans with Eastwood AlumaBlast paint if you want.  It won't look correct but it may work for what you are doing.
