Wiring Harness Recommendations, What to Buy?
« on: May 31, 2012 - 04:03:05 PM »
Hi folks,

I need to order a rear light harness for the 73 Barracuda and could use some help deciding which one to get & from who if there's multiple sellers.  I know Year One sells a harness but don't know anything about brand, where its made, if its any good, etc.  So if you've bought some harnesses for yours and can share your opinions I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, Jim

I bought all the wiring for my car from year one.  Wanted to replace wiring that was over 40 years old just for the reliability factor.  I recommend waiting to see if any of the members sell the item your looking for.  I find they sell the same product but usually cheaper than some of the companies like year one.  The quality is the same, the cost is less and many times they ship it faster.  Just my thoughts after buy parts over the last twenty years.

Year One sells M&H harnesses.  They have an exclusive contract with M&H...no one else sells M&H harnesses.  When I was searching, everyone said M&H harnesses were the best.  A lot of people said they had loose crimps in their harnesses from Evan's.  No matter who you go with, inspect all wires and crimps before hooking up the battery.

If you can wait, Yearone has 30% off sales quite regularly.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Evans makes decent harnesses as well , I have heard of some positioning problems with the wires on the larger main harnesses but I doubt they could screw up 8 wires LOL  .

M&H here all the way.  Best in my mind.  All brand new with the correct stock colors.  YO is the only way to get them.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
