Wow, I scooted off an icy highway and knocked down a power pole at about 50-60 mph in my Charger when I was a teen. I knocked out power to 14 farmers or so in the middle of winter. Never even put a dent in the Charger. The State charged me $400 some bux to replace the pole. I remember the wires coming down and thinking - Don't touch metal! WoW! I couldn't imagine being foolish enough to try and steal copper! Thinning out the gene pool. But I could have been doing that for driving that fast also.

Sad part is he'll probably sue the electric company for not making it harder for him to break in.  We had a guy in my town clean a house out of all its copper including the gas line.  Nearly blew up the whole block.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

I`m having a hard time feeling sorry for scrappers stealing metal. Some jerk in my area last week broke into his neighbors basement and started yanking out the copper wires and then cut a live gas pipe to scrap he almost blew up the house there was a picture in the paper of him he looked like a  real rocket scientist. Also last month someone stole my 5 year old`s bike right out of my yard for scrap metal. I live on a dead end street and the bike was sorta close to my trash cans where she left it. I want to put a warning sign up saying: ATTENTION SCRAPPERS THE ONLY METAL YOU`LL FIND HERE IS HOT LEAD!

The cement plant (out of srvice but used to store fly ash) next door to yard yard was stripped of all is copper/brass by thieves in the night last year. There's 480K worth of product in the silo's but it will cost 500K to get the plant back up and running. PLus the misc $hit they stole from me.  :swear: The wife says better I didnt catch 'em........... she's probobly right.
