Power Steering Pump

I'm putting together a serpentine system for my small block.  I love the idea of the one from Billet Specialties, but not the cost or the amount of polished aluminum.  That said, I need to find a serpentine power steering pump for my Firm Feel box.  I'd like to find one with a remote reservior so that I've got a little latitude on pump placement.

Does anyone know the pressure and flow requirements for the stock box?  IIRC, Mopar Action's recent article showed around 1500 psi, or so.  Where can I find specs for other stock-style pumps?  I've gotten a few recommendations for C5 or 350Z pumps...

I don't know the answer to your questions, but you may consider giving Firm Feel a call and see if they know what their steering boxes like.

I use a KRC powersteering pump. http://www.krcpower.com/ Very happy with it, you can change the valve to increase or decrease flow. You can get it in aluminium or cast iron and with a bolt on tank or remote reservior. They have the brackets to bolt it up to the Mopar smallblock. In fact they have a complete serpentine system for the smallblock (not polished!).  I have the alu pump with a remote reservoir. Quality product! My brother has their entire serpentine system on his Ford 351w. Works great!


Couldn't find a GOOD picture of it, but here it is with the reservior. I'm 've got a hydraboost and XV rack (from a 05 Mustang).


Again, couldn't find a good picture, but this is my brothers setup, less the belts. He also run their alternator. He has a hydraboost and a TCP rack.
