Dipstick tube repair

I ordered a new dipstick tube from Roseville and finally got around to installing it today since I'm getting my transmission back this afternoon. While I was gently tapping it into place I sneezed and hit it wrong. Where the little wrinkle is in the tube to stop it at the block I snapped it a little, about half way through. Can I just use JB weld type stuff or should I weld it?

I`d weld it with a torch and copper

I'll take it out and get it welded. The transmission shop got the wrong shift plate for my transmission so it's going to be a few days more

I usually have to grind down the end to remove the chrome or just get ti down to size where it will fit into the block , that are always very tight

I did that before I tried to put it in, but that sneeze knocked of my aim while I was tapping it
