Carb adjustment...need some help
« on: May 30, 2012 - 10:14:10 PM »
I got an Eddy on a 340. The timing is good on it, it idles perfectly, starts right up on first turn, and cruises really good. But when I tromp it cruising down the road, or on take off. The think studders for a second, and then takes off real quick.  How do I get rid of that delay? What adjustment do I need to try first? Like I say, everything else is real good...had my cousin who is a mechanic get it timed and adjusted good on idle the other day when he was over.

I would check the float levels , 7/16 is the spec but that is usually a bit low & they never seem to be right after shipping , next the usual problem is the squirter is too small , unfortunatly Eddy forces you to buy a kit of 3 even though all you ever need is the bigger one .
