Body Cart Mount Points
« on: May 26, 2012 - 01:04:57 PM »
I am in the planning stages of my body cart to mount a cuda to and trying to figure out the best place to mount the car on such a thing. I think the right thing to do is build the cart with "stand offs" on which the car will rest. Maybe bold the rear shackle mounts to for less pucker factor when moving it around. I have seen lots of side shots but nothing with a view from the bottom of a mounted car showing the mounting details.

The question is basically, what are the best points to mount a car to when doing this type of cart keeping in mind that I'll be replacing the entire floor from firewall to rear bumper, Possibly rear frame rails, the inner fender panel, rear wheel houses et. Typical mopar stuff :)

Any pointers would be great!

PM sent.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Here is my basic idea so far. On the left, you might be able to tell that the center section is located with pins, held in with a big ol bolt and removable so this thing could be stored on the side of a garage somewhere. The drawing suggests 2.5"x2.5"x0.25"  and 1" square tube. I have a pile of it so that's what I'll use.
