73 Challenger Gull Wing Install - Wrong Brackets?

Good morning,

So I decided to put a Gull Wing on the Challenger and lo and behold the holes and placement for the deck lid brackets did not exist (wrong year and all that).  During one of my adventures through this forum, I found the brackets pictured below which were supposed to be used for the 72-74 deck lids.  Now I'll start by saying I'm not the most technically savvy guy out there, but how exactly are these brackets meant to fit on this deck lid?  Any pics of similar installs or insight/advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks guys.

Those are the brackets that I have on my 70 Go-wing. They mount horizontally just like in your pictures. I'm a couple of thousand miles away from my home computer to help with pictures though.

That's perfect Mike, thank you.  That was the only way I could figure they would fit.  Looks like my technical capabilities are not the problem, it's my ability to measure things! Thanks again.

All right Mike, I'm ready to drill. Any chance you have measurements for the holes from left and right deck edge in and from the rear edge forward so that I can check my work? Appreciate the help.
