What is everybody running for shocks?  I have brand new KYB's and at least the back ones are total garbage!!!!   I need to replace and want to know any recommendations.

I have Edelbrock IAS Performers all the way around. They're at least good enough. I plan to upgrade to (probably) Bilsteins.

Me too. I'm very happy with them, but, I upgraded them from a stock setup. HUGE difference. But still a lower end shock. Never heard anyone complain about QA1's yet.
What are the KYB's doing that you don't like?

I've recently added Varishock single adjustables to my car. Can't comment on how they work yet as my bullet is out for overhaul.

I have previously used Gabriel, Monroe, KYB, Rancho, and Carrera. All have their features and deficits depending on usage.

When I first got my car in 1994 it had Monroe shocks which appeared to have been on them for years.  Very mushy. I decided to go with KYB because the poly urethane suspension I was putting in the car was offered by the seller at what I felt was a cheap price.  That was the first rebuild I had did involving handling.  I then did not like the stopping power of the car with all drum brakes even though my car came with the large drums.  I tended to slide across the asphalt too far under emergency braking.  So I converted from drum  to front disc using one of the aftermarket kits offered back then.  It was a significant improvement but over time I felt I wanted something more factory original.  So I did the original 11.75 setup as mentioned here in these forums in the past. During my last updating of parts I put Koni shocks on my car.  Mainly because I liked the way the  road felt while driving a friends challenger (same year, make and model).  I have yet to drive my car with the Koni's (on the rear with a dana 60) in them.  I grew up with english cars and you really learn to feel how the car handles on the road through the seat of your pants.  My pursuit of a tight handling car that can brake almost as well as any modern car is my goal.  For me this car is my one big sin in life.  So I splurged with the Koni's because I could tell the ride was better.  Most people would be very happy with the Monroe (which is the brand I buy for my daily cars), I was happy with the KBY's even though they have more road feel but they gave a ride like most English cars of the 60's.  So the main reason I bought Koni's is I like the feel of the ride and back in the day that is the shock my friends put on the car.  (Of course some used air shocks but that had very bad results so eventually everyone I knew used those shocks for their challenger.

The reality is I will never really test the true capabilities of the koni shocks  and I'm sure the Monroe could easily do the job.  I'm just indulging myself with these shocks and know it.
