New vinyl top
« on: November 21, 2012 - 07:12:35 PM »
So, who has the best or nicest vinyl top? I'm thinking of adding a top to the car thou it didn't
have one originally. I bought the trim but didn't get the hardware yet.

                                                      Thanks
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I think it depends on which top you want.  Boar Grain/Gator Grain/Seam pattern?

Legendary...

Price one out dirrectly and through one of their dealers.  I heard a lot of people say they were able to get them cheaper through a dealer then dirrect.  My experience was the opposite.

What's a seam pattern? I assumed that all stock e-bodies typically came with the boar
grain unless a gator grain was special ordered.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

The Challenger in 70-71 had a 51" center section between the seams
The Challenger 72+ roof has a 32" center section.

Not sure of the Cuda/Barracuda.

70-72 Challengers used the wide seam spacing.  73-74 Challengers and 70-74 Barracudas used the narrow seam spacing.
