Huge update!!!

Huge update!
It's been a while since I had an opportunity to catch up.
This past couple of weeks I have been ordering parts like a madman, stopping by to visit Mopar Dave, and generally browsing and hunting down the parts I need to make my car streetable.

1. Big thanks to Andy for coming out with his friend Steve to lead the rest of the roof/pillar/quarter and rocker   seams! Now it's going to get serious !

2. ordered my Scat Rally seats (in white vinyl), received them today minus the driver seat bracket. 😠 many thanks Summit! I can't wait to sit in this thing!

3. Got all my seals to ensure that once I do drop the glass in, I have a greater potential of making the body airtight.

4. Visited MoparDave and picked up all the incidentals I could use to get this car more complete.
Package tray, body plugs, positive battery cable, trunk seal, wipers..

5. Ordered dynamat, carpet, a reveal molding tool, some spare connectors, this that and the other.

6. Got my SEM products, and have already started bringing my interior back to life.
My rear door panels are beat, so I'll eventually get some new ones when I can afford it.

It's going to be a busy weekend. I need to start cutting in around the moldings and make sure I am good to go.
Car goes into Dave's shop Friday of next week for final road tuning.

Pics to come! Watch for my thread..

Dan

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Just curious if you had worked up a budget prior to starting or if you are single with an open check book?

Charlie-
I'm a budget conscious family guy with two kids, and a wife who is a teacher.
This year happened to be more profitable for me than others, topped off with some nice OT pay. It will be put to good use..
The rest I need to get from selling off spare parts, artwork, or whatever.

And here I was feeling like I was finally getting rolling after ordering new rear leaf springs & rear light harness!  You have got to be feeling good seeing all that progress in a such a short time, congrats!

Seats:

Door panel before SEM

Other door panel before some SEM tlc..
The upper door grain is really pretty shot.
Sure looks a whole lot better now.

Some shots of the door panels assembled and on the car.

As you can see, the rear quarter trim is in bad shape. I've had to sand them down pretty good because the grain was so chalky and beat. It's really nasty, but I'll figure something out.

Interior trim is next.

I can't put these in without some seriously freshened interior bits now can I?

Just repainted the hard trim.
This is the trim scrubbed down with pumice soap.

Nasty mother F$&@-() interior quarter panel.

Stripped all the god-forsaken paint off of it.
Not easy, extremely time consuming.

And finally, urge beginning of the bodywork...

Straight gap. Just how I like em

Fitting the window trim

Getting into the gutters
