Dual Snorkle Air Cleaner: Removing Exhaust Stove?

I am restoring a 72 dual snorkle air cleaner and was wondering about welding shut the exhaust manifold heat stove for a cleaner look. The car has headers now so the inlet is useless. Does anyone see any problems with this idea?

not at all , most of these cars are never driven in cold weather anymore & with headers there is nowhere to connect it to anyway

Nice work. Really makes a difference in appearance and adds to the look of your engine compartment.
