Need help with 70 Cuda tail panel trim
« on: June 30, 2012 - 06:22:07 PM »
I am having alot of problems trying to get my tail panel trim put back on my Cuda. I went to put the trim on and noticed that the plastic clipwas not going through the holes all the way I thought that the hole had to much paint in them so I cleaned out all the excess paint, and tried to attach the trim again but still had the same problem we then determined that the reason the clips don't go all the way through the holes is because my body guy had to make repairs on the panel and there is to much bondo on the panel (there were no aftermarket panel available when this work was done) Any ideas on what I can use to attacch this trim.

You could try Epoxy the clips on but that's just a band-aid for your problem.
You really need to fix it so that's it secured correctly like the factory did it.
