E-body door seal channel weatherstrip
« on: July 05, 2012 - 10:07:26 AM »
Hey gang..
I was curious. I'm looking to tackle the installation of my friend driprail molding and door seals in his '71 Challenger R/T. Where might I find some of the OEM-type (I'm assuming this is original) of seal tape in the picture. It looks like a black rubber/foam strip with an adhesive backing.

Thanks.

Yes, Jim from DMT has that gasket tape.  There is tape between the car and the driprail trim as well as between the driprail trim and the side window weatherstripping channel.  My car used the same type of tape in both places.  The DMT kit uses two different kinds of gaskets.  I asked Jim about it and he said some cars used two different styles.  Just give him a call and tell him what style you need depending on what you find on the car.
