Are you running those with a B-body rear and the stock perch location (44")? Offset A-body mopar hangers are only offset about a 1/2", and the mopar rear e body shackles are only offset about 3/4", so you wouldn't be offset as much as the Dr Diff kit, which is a full 1". Seems like splitting hairs, but in this case a 1/4" is probably all that is needed to clear.

Yes :iagree: I just went and looked at my rear pan and it would appear not all are created the same my brace is smaller in that area so I have the clearance, go figure...

I also found out after the fact, you need to cut the braces on the Challenger valance, when using the Dr Diff offset hangers with dual exhaust.
When I asked him, he said "Oh yeah, but you don't have to if the valance doesn't have cut-outs".

No biggie, but would have been nice to know before hand.

This picture is of the passenger side right?  I had to go out and look at mine to see if there was going to be any clearance issues. Then it " clicked" about the exhaust cutout only . ( Mine has no cutouts) I'm just learning what's involved in the B-Body rear end swap.....

I didn't even realize there were any clearance issues. But I have a Challenger with no exhaust cut outs in the valance, so I guess that's why I had no issues with installing the B rear and 1" offset hangers. Although, I haven't tried running the Hotchkis springs. The XHD's I have in there seem to work fine, no issues and no cutting.

Is the clearance issue related to the shape of the Hotchkis spring, or will the offset shackle still interfere with the valence bracket anyway?  Do other springs have issues with the offset hangers besides Hotchkis?  I have a set of XV level 1 springs and have been wondering if I should put in the offset hangers to get more tire, but if it only beats up the valence and rubs on the frame, is it worth it?  I have a Cuda with dual exhaust through the valence.  Do I want to open that can of worms?

I think the issue is how much you offset the hangers, Mopar only did 0.75", Dr Diff pushes it to 1".

Your best bet is to call Cass (Dr Diff), he is extremely helpful, just make sure you ask him EVERYTHING.

Well After much research I went with ebody rear housing, stock height mopar performance springs and dr diff relocate on my 70 cuda with exhaust cut- outs . Everything fits nicely! I believe that the hotchkis front spring mount and length of leafspring is what causes all the grief at the valance when combined with any relocate kit.this is why I took the safer route. All hotchkis up front though

I should have listened to all comments and not just do what i want!!!!!!!!  I went with e-body axle, dr diff offset kit, mopar xhd springs, bilstein shocks.
Now i could not be happier with the stance and the zippy cornering but---------- now that everything is settling after a couple hundred miles , the far shackles are smacking the frame and thank goodness because the leaf is just touching my valance and not pushing out because shackle stops at frame.
does espo or anyone else make a spring with a slightly shorter rear length! my cuda valance is not hitting the brace like the challenger pic, but the actual valance , no trimming here.
