Thanks for the welcome guys,i will put up some eng bay pics when i can,and your right Brad they are never finished but dont tell my wife!!!.I thought i would give you all some history on the car.The car came into NZ about ten years ago and was a 72 318 barracuda, the guy i brought it off had allways wanted a 70 but they are even rearer down here than 72-74 (a barracuda in general is rear) so with alot of time and money and access to a donor car the 72 body was transformed (the 72 was a bit of a hack job to start with).I had allways wanted a challenger since i could remember, untill i saw a 74 cuda that a good friend bought about six years ago and that was it i had to own a cuda.So as finaces permitted after building a house and kids starting school the search began and after looking at a 72 that came here from japan that was less than tidy,a 72 that was very good but minus eng and trans and needed reassembling i decided on this one and as i had allways wanted a 70 i figured a clone might not be a bad way to go. Clones, love them or hate them i figured was a good option, price is good and wanted something i wasnt afraid to drive,if i had a real 70 cuda i would want it factory correct down to every nut and bolt and then i would be to scaered to drive it.So i bought the car pretty much done all i have done is fitted new shocks and bushes right through, detail the underside of the car, recon the complete factory a/c system, dyna mat the whole car,get all the factory guages and electrics working properly, fit new quarter glass, put new reproduction ralley whells on(hated the 18" ones),new master cylinder and lines, some new weather strip on quarter glass, pistol grip(allways thought that was the coolest thing a factory could fit to a car) and a few other bits and pieces next will be road lamps and rear tail panel trim.Interestingly when i was doing tha a/c system i found what i thought was a bit of sand paper down inside the window vent it turned out to be a parking validation slip from the city of Newport beach and looks to be from the 70"s.So thats about it for my mopar story hope it didnt bore you all to much!!!!!
