I am currently having my 440 based 520 stroker built this week and finished within the next 2 weeks. I need a complete ignition system. I want a stock appearing system, and no big business or foreign stuff. Sorry MSD, I have had problems in the past. I am leaning toward the Rev-n-nator ignition for its near stock appearance, digital control, and a rev-limiter. I am ready to buy a distributer from Custom wire sets and performance products, as seen in Mopar Collector guide Dec. 11. I think I will go with the adjustable mechanical advance billet distributor and a set of fire core wires. I just need a hot coil, suggestions anyone? My biggest questions are do I need a multiple spark discharge for low rpm and big displacement? I was given advice about the Daytona Sensors CD1 ignition box for its tune ability, but it may be more than I really need. I have been given multiple opinions that vary from stock with a hot coil, to full computer controlled stuff that is potentially complicated. Does my goal of stock appearance using the rev-n-nator, and the stock height distributer match well enough to actually perform with a high performance stroker big block. Any suggestions for me since I have to get something yet this week? Thanks for your replies.
