Clearance on factory rocker arms?

What is the clearance of the factory rockers supposed to be on the rocker shaft? Reading in a book I see .003" This seems way too small. I'm talking about the stamped hydraulic type.

vertically is not overly important the holes are oversize & the pressure keeps the contact on the lower 120 * contact area , side to side ahs to be minimal to prevent the rocker sliding away with load
