Proper firewall install hardware

Hey all,

What is the proper hardware to attach the voltage regulator, ballast resistor, and ecu on the firewall? I have the original hardware that was on there but it doesn't seem right. The resistor was being held on by a long screw (blade) with very course threads. The bolts that held the voltage regulator (2) were different sizes. The ECU is for an electronic ignition upgrade and I need to drill for those.

Here are the correct fasteners.  There were two different head markings on mine.  The ones in the picture say I/S.  The others I found had an anchor head marking.  They are clear zinc plated and take a 7/16 socket.

Thanks. Is that the same type of bolt for the ballast resistor?

No, the ballast used a much longer and thinner bolt.  I think it has a 5/16 head on it.

Starter relay (x2), Voltage Regulator (x2) ECU mounting bracket (x2) ECU to bracket (x2)

I believe there are a couple more in my engine bay, holding a block off plate of some kind, but can't recall for sure.

All should be the anchor head screws. RT specialties has them and they are nearly dead-on to the stock ones. Aside, of course, from the new zinc finish. :-)

the original ballast used the same kind of bolt , the repro ballasts are nto made the same , original had a brass strap around the ballast new ones need a longer bolt to go through the ceramic
