Water pump
« on: August 12, 2012 - 05:54:34 PM »
I currently have a marches pulley kit on m 408 stroker. I want get rid of my electric fan set up and go to a mech fan. Can i just add a fan unit? Or, do i need a different pump? Can I use my original shroud from my factory radiator? I have a champion unit on it now. It was a 340 car w/o air

The pump should just be the one you had originally. You can use your original shroud, if it fits your aftermarket radiator.    :dunno:

I would use a clutch fan probably with the short Jaguar clutch for clearance , you can get a 18" Flex-a-lite fan

I'll take a picture of the front of the rad and measure the distance between the rad and the w/p. I'm hoping i can use my old shroud from my original system. where can i get a jag clutch?
