AC Heater Control Valve
« on: August 13, 2012 - 11:40:46 AM »
I have a generic valve that I was going to mount and noticed that 1 of the 4 tubes is smaller than the rest. Also the cable actuation is the opposite of the dash control (cooler on the dash makes the valve open).

So, I found this on ebay, is it correct?

Thanks in advance.

I'm looking more for functionality and I'm not too worried about exact replacement. I'd like it to work correctly with the heater controls on the dash.

Thanks.

1 of the 4 tubes is smaller because it gos to the intake side 1/2 hose

Hmm, both hoses on my water pump housing are the same size. Same goes for the tubes on the heater core. When you say intake side, which specific connection is that?

1st my car is a 318, both lines to the heater core are 5/8 hose. Now going to the engine the 5/8 hose lower line  gos to driver side of water pump. The 1/2 line gos right next to the thermostat on the pass side behind the ac pump.  Hope that helps, i believe my stuff is all original.
