Hennessey Challenger 1/4 mile time...I need to be educated...
« on: August 13, 2012 - 10:06:59 AM »
Ok guys, I'm confused.

Check out this video:

11.25 @ 125 mph Challenger Hennessey HPE700 Turbo

So, they have a time of 11.25 @125mph.

Question is, if you look, the car doesn't start moving until almost 3 seconds AFTER the light turns green.  Why?  :dunno:  Was it just to spool up the turbo?

Also, that time of 11.25, is that an actual time from when the light turned green to when he crossed the line or is it corrected from when he crossed the starting line to the finish line?  :clueless:

Thanks!

I would have expected it to be a little quicker, but that thing is HEAVY. The mph is good, you can see it gets moving once it gets rolling good. It just isn't the quickest thing out of the hole..... :burnout:
