Has anyone taken Lazze or Fay Butler's metal working classes?

I was thinking it would be a blast to get to work with these guys and was thinking about doing one of their classes to learn more about metal fabrication.  Has anyone been to either of these metal working classes?

Looks like Jesse James was learning from Fay back in 2008.  Lazze is closer to me on the west coast so that is most likely the one I'll go to first.  Plus going back for the 5 day level two class and getting to build a car from flat sheet metal seems cool!  Anyone else want to go?

I have always wanted to take a class like that.  I just never seem to have the time to attend.  This type of metal work is a dying art.

Yes, Jessie James was learning from Lazze, I understand he can be tough on his students.

I didn't know Jesse had worked with Lazze, I saw that he was at Fay Butler in 2008.  Since these classes only have 3 or 4 people per event it would be great to get a group of Cuda - Challenger guys to all go at the same time.  I'm thinking late summer next year.  I've contact Lazze to see what he has available.

I think Fay Butler is more of an old school artist and Lazze is more new school / old school.  Would be cool to do both.  Who knows when these guys are gone who will be left to learn from.  You are right, this art is dying and I would like to learn a little while I can.

I contacted him to see about getting in a class and there is a 30 person waiting list right now and growing.  Let me know if anyone wants to go with me.

Lazze is $1,350 for the level one 3 day class and $2,250 for the 5 day level 2 class.  Fay Butler is $2,500.

Wow, ever since I saw an EW on Jesse James show years ago, it's looked something I wanted to try out. Looking at the "demo" videos Lazze has on his site all I can say is WOW, that looks like fun! Well, until I squirt blood out from under my finger nails as i push them too far into the wheel
