Here is a nice alternative way to build that brace. In fact, everything this guy does is pretty amazing..

I used the us car and tool one, left my stock brace in place and tacked to it as well.

Are you talking about a triangle brace above the motor tying the fenders and firewall together?

Did you reinforce the firewall behind mount or plate it?

Yes ! The firewall was reinforced inside using plates once bolted in, you can lift the car from it.
That is a fact the brace made a much bigger difference than the rad support and sub frame connectors combined

Cosmetic issues? I wonder what that means.

Also, what kind of discount are we talking here?

Anyone have pics of this triangle engine support? And is this rad stiffening support highly recommended for the 6.1 conversion?

$75 to $95 seems like a ridiculous amount seeing as it is only 2x2 square steel tubing with 2 bends in it. You can find 72" sections of that tubing for $20 all over the Internet. I figure you would only need about 36" of stock metal per brace, and that includes what is wasted due to the bender needing enough material to bite onto which is later trimmed off. with some measurements, I bet a local metal shop could make you one for $40 out the door, with them making decent profit on it. Just my 0.02.

Hey guys, Here's a couple of shots of the XV brace on my 'Cuda. I opted out of the rad support . Went with the frame ties too.

I have the XV radiator brace, tubular fender apron braces, and the form fitting subframe connectors installed. I didn't go with the engine compartment brace because I have a 440 six pack setup and they told me it wouldn't fit.

The lower radiator brace on my car was installed by removing the original metal. I have an aluminum radiator, the A/C condenser in front of it, and the A/C drier in front of that. It all fits.
