Is there an aftermarket bolt in version of this?
« on: September 30, 2012 - 10:13:01 AM »
I'm going to try a stronger spring, but I think this thing is just too tired to work. It will not lock up when shifting manually from 1st to second. That screws me up at the drag strip. I'll try the stronger spring and a bunch of grease. If you guys have any ideas to get this working, I'm all ears!
I'd like a bolt in replacement, I don't want to do any modifications if possible.
THANKS!!!

I do believe there is an aftermarket one of those . . . Check with Dave at Roseville and see if he sells them?

If all else fails, this place make repro shift unit, or there are used ones for sale.  I think Roseville sell it also and offer a discount. Or is it possible that you threaded the button down too far on the screw? Maybe some peeps can chime in, but try installing the button just enough for it to stay on.  It has something to do with the bolt being too far down or not far down enough.
