Lug nuts, '70 AAR 'Cuda
« on: October 14, 2012 - 07:10:32 PM »
I am out of town so can't check the car, but would my AAR have the infamous LH and RH threads on the lug nuts?  Or had they converted to all RH before that?  I think I did notice a "RH" stamped on the right hand lug stud end...  Thanks

71 was the switch over.  I guess it might depend on build date but I thought everything in the 70 model year had both?

I was afraid of that, my build is March 31, 1970, so probably LH and RH.  Now I need to find out if American Racing, who sent the wheels, also sent me the proper LH and RH lug nuts and not just RH.  I did specify 1970 'Cuda, we will see.

True, but it is much easier and faster to just get the left hand thread lug nits.  In fact, my rally wheel lug nuts might work, looks like the same beveled seat.

I plan to replace my lugs at some point in case the car ever ends up in a shop (for alignment for example).  I'm nervous they will break a lug on accident.
