rolled wheel well AAR fenders or rolled hemi fenders
« on: January 20, 2007 - 03:12:45 PM »
I am looking for rolled wheel well fenders for an AAR.  I would take hemi fenders if they are available.  Not looking for 10,000 nos fenders, just a used set so that I may put them on my AAR. It needs all of its aar parts.  thanks

Come on, no one has any ideas on a lead for these. Anything?

Just a thought, but couldn't you just roll the lip on a regular fender? From what I have seen of the rolled fenders(not many)but the factory didn't build show cars.

I understand.  Yes I could just roll my own lip.  Mostly I am not concerned with actual parts and will customize anything.  In this case thou I would very much like an original set.  The sets that I have seen really are not very nice and have bumps and what not but I still want an original set.  Hard to find yes.  I have seen a few NOS pieces but those are far too much money for just one fender.  I don't mind a little body work.

I am actually still looking for a set of these fenders.

I will be looking for a while apparently.

:iagree:  Thinking it will be hard to find an unattached set of AAR or hemi fenders that are in good shape and don't cost a fortune.  To get the tires to fit in back on my car, the shop rolled the fender lips on the quarterpanels.

how would one see the difference between factory and non factory rolled...? I`d get some detailed pics from known factory fenders and duplicate the way they are rolled. You could make rolling tools from the money you will save.   :2cents:

wow... that trick will get you a very unstable fender...  you better watch what you`re doing when wrenching from the side...a little too much pressure on the fender and your tire will rub again...  :misbehaving:

Thanks Topcat.
It's been a while since I read that one.
There should be a few more on Moparts that discuss the rolled fender as I recall.
Can't find em though.

Great info there.

I had an AAR and sold it.   :crying: :'(

Simply put I would like to put my hands on some of the rare factory parts.
Unfortunately, I have missed out on a few fenders.
All original paint fenders.

No one has this relatively common item.  I want a pair.  In terrible rusted out shape .  Original paint of course.

I'll hang em on my wall while they wait for my next AAR shell.
