HEI Upgrade
« on: November 14, 2012 - 06:24:00 PM »
I am doing an HEI conversion on my distributor and already have the HEI adaptor bracket. I need to know what is the BEST HEI Module I can get out there without spending crazy money. I see the price ranges between $23-$40 but I've also heard that it's best to go with a "late 80's-early 90's" module.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks!

We talking 4 pin? Plain old Bosch [BIM024] thats the number here in  :aussie: made here for a change. make sure you have the matching Bosch coil should HEC High Engery Coil be about .41 ohms.  I used the good Bosch parts in a cheap Chinese dissy re-curved [by me] and goes real well !

I use the Bosch BIM024 in Most of my cars.
However I believe the GM pn IM113 is a better module.
The Bosch is common in Australia hence why we use them.
The GM module should be common in the US.

Your choice.
Either way they are both quality parts.
