Rear Quarter panel edges: Things falling down inside

A nut fell in there today. 

Who knows what else eventually will find it's way down there in the future.

When I first replaced my quarter panel, I found a rusty wrench and a bunch of Aquarium rock.I think it's time to put some type of catch screen in each corner.

Ever find anything when you replaced your quarter panels?

Mine are still on the car, but when I dropped a nut down there I fished it out .... Along with a wing nut for the spare tire, a 1/2" deep well socket, and a stack of cigarette / super market trading stamp things.

I am curious to see what you come up with to close that area off.

I would think it could not be sealed so that moisture has a way to escape.

Found nuts and bolts. No tools though, I could've used them on my resto!!!  Ha!!

My trunk drop-offs were so rusted, what ever was in there fell out long ago.

I was putting a decal on my quarter glass and it fell all the way down to the rocker. I cannot get to it so I guess the person who restores it again many years from now will find it.
