    It's funny but bothersome at the same time though I do think the government has a large amount of
    blame for the auto industries woes

    This is a good one for the joke page.  Speaking of the Volt, I read that since it is such a run-away failure GM is now going to make a Cadillac version.  Obama Motors---double down on failure!.

    The Cadillac version has been planned for a couple of years. It was always part of the plan to leverage the technology into other cars to defray the development costs.

    Saw a program on the first electric cars of the 80-90's. GM had a great fix for the batteries and sold the rights to Texaco. The Volt is supposed to fail and the government throws $$ at them for 'clean' developemnet. Think of it as all US taxpayers own a little of GM. I am a GM guy, but Chrysler....wow-the RAM is selling like hotcakes, the Charger is a great 4 door 'muscle car' the Challenger speaks for itself and the new Dart  is getting great reviews. All this with the #1 selling minivan, the kick a$$ viper and the beautiful jeep grand cherokee, it's easy to become a Dodge guy
