Back again with different name
« on: March 29, 2011 - 06:55:10 PM »
Hello again from Port Alberni B.C. canada. I was on here before as CHALLENGERRON. It was a tough decision to sell my 71' R/T project, but it went to a good MOPAR home.  One day I will get another, but I have been itching to go drag racing again and I got a great deal on a 71' Plymouth drag car, it's a 71' Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus  cloned as a GTX, the past owner put the 72' fenders and 72' style roadrunner stripes on it, it has a 440, 727, 4:56:1 rear. It should be lots of fun.  Ron

Welcome back!   You didn't need to change your name though? Lots of people on here are former e-body owners!

Welcome back! Love the car. In my teens I used to go out hell raising in 72 Roadrunner. Love those cars!  Matt

I like the 71-72 Satellite/RoadRunner body style. I had a 71 RR "back in the day", 383/4 speed. It was pretty slow for what it was, I think it must have had too high of a rear end. No tach either, so I never knew how fast it was revving.....other kids riding with me would complain I was shifting too soon, I just figured they wanted me to blow it up. Traded it off after I got two tickets in a week.

I always liked the over-the-roof stripes. The one I had was black, white interior and a white reflective strip. Looked sharp when it was clean....which would last about 20 minutes.

Changed my name back to CHALLENGERRON, back with a 74' Challenger Ralley.  Drag car was lots of  of fun, but I need something better suited for cruising with the wife and kids.  Got a great deal on the Challenger !  :working: Can't seem to shake the Challenger bug for long ! This is my 7th Challenger, lucky 7 , I hope  :2thumbs:   Plan to go FC7 , something like the Challenger in the last pic  , with a worked 440
