Ignition
« on: January 02, 2013 - 09:04:34 PM »
Pertronix second strike, coil, distributor, contol box. I'm having trouble getting it to fire right, the directions say I need the original ignition modual connected, but doesn't tell me how to wire it in. Anyone ever used this?

Yes it has power, it starts and runs, but only at low rpm's. The directions in one place say you need the primary ignition modual, in another place it doesn't mention it. I've got the stock ignition back on it now and it runs fine, but I have to figure this one out. It tells me nothing about how to integrate the original modual into this system. I thought it would be a stand alone system like MDS. Thanks

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
