A 340 auto in driver condition I would not pay more than 20k.Once you start fixing and replacing items on the car plus a repaint you will put a least 10k or more into it.The difference between driver quality and a car you will be proud of at shows equals $$$.

If you are asking about rarirty it`s probably not that unique but any real `70 340 `cuda is worth buying.

Can any one tell me .  why are some ebody cars painted black just below the wind screen ,wiper area ? And some are all body colour in the engine bay and around the wiper area. This new cuda which i have just brough is black in this area . It was born in califorina has this any thing to do with it . Or was there some other reason this area was painted . I just find it a little odd P.S It is a very early build car. Thank you . :clueless: :

That may indicate that it is/was an AAR cuda.  The blackout was part of the package.  but the engine bay is still the body color, right?  Only the edges around the hood are blacked out?

all had bodycolor engine bay and the blackout around the wipers was applied on light colored cars only. AAR had blackout on fenderlip and valance inside the enginebay.

1970 vs 1971=1974 thing.  1970 should have a black cowl area unless the car was black or B7 blue.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Thanks torredcuda for your reply about real 340 Cudas and ,I hope ,Challengers. They are worth buying and  more rare than most big blocks.
Mopars at the Strip in Las Vegas in 2012 had a couple dozen E Bodies.Only one was a 340 car.
