71 R/T saved! New pics added.

NEW PICS ADDED!  Here is a link to my 1971 R/T, 340, 4 spd, Plum Crazy, Challenger rescue.  This car sat outside for 8 or 9 years with no window in the driver's door.  A friend of mine bought it, put rims and tires on it, and left it in his garage for another 5 years before his wife had enough!

 :clapping:  Very nice!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Man, I stayed up too late looking at the excellent pics of your amazing restoration! What a fab job you did and a big portion of it was out beside the doghouse!! You've got a nice eye and touch to go with it and I hope you enjoy that car as much as I did watching you bring it back to life.  :2thumbs: PS- Welcome to the site!

Looking really good.

Isn't that sandblasting the nastiest, dirtiest job?
I'll never forget when I did mine. My lower back was shot after that.

Thanks for the comments!  The small speaker grills were on my old dash pad.. I was surprised they are metal...  I dont remember whose dash pad I used, sorry.  I am especially proud of the VIN tag... the logo was obtained from ECS... they have good products.

Sandblasting is a filthy job and you will get sand in places you didnt even know you had...but it cleans and preps for paint like nothing else.  I wear an old military M-17 gas mask with chemical hood and replaceable eye sheilds.  It works well and parts are cheap.  I had an old truck frame and body blasted, it cost almost as much as buying a new compressor and sandblaster combined.  I would rather buy the tools and keep them, after a couple of uses it will pay for itself.
