disc brake conversion questions
« on: December 02, 2012 - 09:08:50 PM »
hi, i have a 72 barracuda that had disc brakes upgraded a few years ago. they came from a challenger. i can get another front disc brake setup from a 1976 fury. i believe they have larger rotors. can someone tell me if its worth getting the fury setup and putting them on my barracuda.thanks

IF the price is good I would go for the larger discs , the reality is there is not a ton of difference int he braking though , probably drilled rotors would help more or something like the Viper caliper upgrade giving better brake pad choices

i can get the front set of brakes for alittle less than 100 bucks. i dont think the calipers are any good and i am not sure about the rotors. if i am not driving my car hard i  wonder if getting the larger rotor setup will be noticeable.thanks for the replies

As an option, you can re-build calipers yourself.
Really easy once you pop out the cup with compressed air.

Definitely better, will you notice the difference?  Probably not IMO.   :2cents:
