Dynacorn sub assemblies...
« on: November 26, 2012 - 11:54:41 PM »
The Dynacorn catalog shows complete sub assemblies for various parts of the Challengers they were tooling up to sell. For instance, they sell a completely welded up rear assembly which includes the frame rails, trunk pan, rear seat pan etc all welded up ready to replace the back half of a Challenger. My question is would these fit into a Cuda? it appears all of these parts are the same or very similar and are "generic" E-Body parts. What is so intriguing is the price. I thought I saw this sub assembly for $1066.00 which isn't much more than just the AMD frame rails alone much less welded to the pans etc.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Got a link?

That is really cheap.  Seems like that's too cheap.

Can't speak for Dynacorn  in general, but challenger pans don't fit a Cuda.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

We are set up with dynacorn and have sold the Front rail assemblies and other pieces,
To clarify the inner structure between a cuda and a challenger are interchangable Except, the rear foor well ( challenger are 3 inches longer) , and trunk floor ( only because the fuel filler location ), speaker shelf rear roof bow, inner quarter peices.
frame rails are the same 70-72 E, Front floor and a pillars and firewall forward they are the same.

Dynacorn Shares stamping (triplus) with Goodmark And sherman and possibly some of AMD, So the Quality from what i have seen is pretty good,

for the rear assembly to work for you on a cuda you will have to change the trunk flooring OR cut the fuel filler hole for the cuda out and use that to patch the challenger location. dimensionally the under seat pan, rear rails and trunk floor are the same,

Just an Fyi there is 7 of these in stock, Shipping will mostlikely be upwards 2-300 range bcause of the size.  Let me know If we can Help.

Huh, didn't happen to me. I know if you shutdown FF while visiting a page, the next time it starts it can start where you left off. If you've not fixed it yet, here is the FF help on setting and restoring the home page(s).

Other than that, just be glad it's not stuck on some "other" kind of site.

Dave, thanks for the thorough response! Now I have some questions though, lucky you :D .

1. Does the rear cross member come as part of the assembly?
2. Sounds like the only difference between this and an assembly a cuda would need is just the filler hole? I could live with that.
3. Is their a link to the rosevillemoparts listing for these parts?

Finally a question for anyone else who's used them, do you have pics to share?

Thanks everyone, once again, CC proves to be an invaluable resource.

Thanks Dave, that's all great info.

Any word on the thickness of the material used on the Dyancorn stuff as compared to the AMD stuff?
