I had stripped threads on my aluminum intake manifold. Couldn't get one of the carb studs tight so I drilled, tapped it out and put the helicoil in for precautionary measures. Been quite a while now and I've taken the carb on and off maybe 5 times!! It was my first tume trying it, I'd recommend them if you're having trouble!
Idk how they'd do on aluminim heads for head bolts or spark plugs? That might be a little risky but hey it's a cheap solution for 15 bucks!
