Pistol Grip Shifter Rebuild & Upgrade

I have a pistol grip shifter for my Challenger. It is the push in or bayonet mount shifter. It needed to be rebuit and I wanted a bolt in stick. Below are pictures of the disassembly and the parts. The last pic is the parts I will re-use. Next post will be replacement parts.

Last picture on the first post show the levers and center pin I wil reuse. E-Body shifters use levers 7178, 7179 and 7180. These are the correct levers, easy way to tell a E-body shifter is the 7180 reverse lever.

I am upgradeing the housing to stop bolts: New on ebay $43.90 (includes shipping)

I found new shims: New on ebay $23.00 (includes shipping)

Change to bolt in stick, I bought a new Hurst indy shifter for $50.00 (includes shipping) to get the bolt in stick selector.

Reproduction Pistol grip on ebay $155.00 (includes shipping)

Next post will be the finished shifter.

For about $275 I will have a rebuilt shifter better than new.

Aw geez, just my luck; I'm buying a shifter rebuild kit and am on the hunt for something along the lines of "Hurst Mopar pistol grip shifter rebuild, for Dummies"[/u] . . .

Is there any way to 'retrieve' or 'salvage' the photos that originally appeared in this thread? (I remember reading something about a "server dump" or similar phenom when I first joined these forums, in October.) Confession: I've started to ask the same question a thousand times while checking out the babes pics section but, this current need is much more important!  ;-)

Or, perhaps another thread that excels at "showing the rebuild" steps . . .?
