As noted by others, smart phones are a much bigger privacy concern.  They know where you been and when, who you've called, how your friends (and contacts) are, what you've been looking up on the internet, and if used for payment, what you are buying and how much you paid.

There is talk about the state of Washington looking into taxing by miles driven since gas tax revenue is down and more taxes are needed.  How would they determine how many miles you have driven?  There are several ways but it most certainly involves personal privacy.

Go into your smartphone and disable all LBS services. Problem is you already rely on them to be helpful.

I remember when Adam Savage from Mythbusters had to move from his House in Berkley because he took a pic of part of his house with an iPhone not realizing that the photo had the geotag on it. The very next week he was gone.

There are advantages to driving an older car without all the doohickeys.
