Oil pan advice for small block stroker
« on: November 02, 2012 - 04:25:55 PM »
looking at oil pans and I am not sure what to do, engine builder said stock pan was a no go.  He suggested the milodon 30935 looks nice and was all for it until I started looking a little more. I found a mopar performance pan for $150 less P5249062AB. I realize this is smaller but what am Really going to need? Its for my 416 forged internals with performer rpm aluminum heads. I don't want to spend money if not absolutely a difference maker.

I do not like deep pans but a wider pan with more capacity makes sense to me

Which Kevko pan do you have?
Also how does capacity affect things!

I also used a Kevco pan on my 408. I believe it was the m302. That was the only stock type pan available at the time. It increased the capacity by 1 quart over stock. The good part is it does not hang below the k member.

will this pan work for my 360 stroker with doug's headers, Milidon #30940? Too low or wide?
