Doorbell
« on: December 20, 2012 - 05:12:25 AM »
This might sound really stupid, but I bought a NuTone C500 Doorbell, the kind that sits in a recess into the wall. 5 foot tall by 1 foot wide. 4 long chimes. Brand new in the box. I seriously think that I got the very last one in the box in the U.S. (I've looked high and low - nada) lol. Oak cabinet. Beautiful. Anyone else like stuff like this? I remember seeing these elegant door chimes when I was a kid in really expensive houses, and always wanted one. Well, I bought it a couple of years ago off Ebay. Anybody else have anything to share? It doesn't have to be a door bell or anything. Just something that was cool to you as a kid, and now you own one. (besides Mopars,)
{oo/-------\oo} In '69 I was twenty-one and I called the road my own. I don't know when that road turned into the road I'm on. Jackson Browne

You can still buy them BB guns today!! My father in law rebuilds those little wooden race cars and string held gas powered airplanes from the 40's pretty neat.

GranCuda1970, I had one of those gas powered airplanes on a string we used to fly in a circle it was called Ucontrol,  you could control the rear aleron for up & down going in a circle, it was fun as long as you didn't get dizzy.

Never had a boat, but those little airplanes where quite fast depending on the size motor & prop you had.
